Maxim Budko:

A very private small cottage. An ideal way to spend a few romantic days together: relaxing in a spa bath next to a fireplace, sipping on a local wine and watching the sunset. Highly recommend.

Amanda's property was the perfect little glamping getaway. There was a bed, a barbie, makeshift kitchen, a couch, dining table, bush dunny, outdoor shower and even a hammock overlooking the great aussie bush. Just about everything you need to be comfortable. Only the bed was in the tent. Everything else is out in the open so bugs and mozzies were a small issue but there was a net in the living space on the deck, which helped. There is no running water on the cloud top so that made life interesting. Nothing we couldn't handle. Perhaps not for those who are not comforfable showering out in the open and using a bush dunny. Amanda was an amazing host, offering us lodge facilities because of the storm on the second night. We were lucky as no one was occupying it and we even had access to the indoor bathroom facilities and pool. A really great experience, that I would definitely recommend if you're looking to relax, do something different and youre not afraid of a bit of outdoorsy adventure.

This is a really lovely place to stay. The host was very friendly and very helpful, full of information about the local wildlife and always ready to help - but not overbearing. He was also quite forgiving of our slow start to the morning - a little after the set checkout time, which was very generous of him. And he provided free range eggs for breakfast! The tent itself was absolutely luxurious. Very clean and well kept, beautifully presented, and the most ridiculously comfortable bed. The facilities were quite rustic, which I like! The bush kitchen was well appointed and charming, everything you need but still with that camping, disconnected sort of feel. The bathrooms were quite basic, but again very well suited to the overall vibe of the place. The shower is outdoors but as private as you want it to be (there are walls and a curtain). The only drawbacks to this place is that the block of land is actually relatively small, which limits the amount of wandering and exploring you can do. But if you're happy to hang around the area and just relax, you'd never know you didn't have a whole forest to yourself. There's plenty of vegetation between you and the fence line. Overall, a lovely place to kick back and disconnect.
