20 Amazing Honeymoon Destinations in Normandy
We loved Blake, our host, and we loved our stay in the bus. SO unique- we have talked more about this place than most others we have ever stayed at. We were blissfully unplugged- we read a book, checked out the small town of Point Arena and had wonderful coffee at Franny's Cup and Saucer and the best BLT I have ever had at 215 Main (while listening to open mic night), and strolled along the beach checking out the pools of seaweed and critters. Not a place where you can go out and hit a fast food joint or grocery easily (which we didn't want!), but a beautiful stay with a serenity and peace to it. This stop on our honeymoon was good for the soul.
This was a beautiful place to stay, my husband and I have never stayed anywhere with just us, so we counted this as a honeymoon we never had, we loved the view of the mountains and the options to hike, there were beautiful cities along the way! Just an absolutely wonderful place to visit! Definitely will be visiting again.
We spent two nights at the horse farm as our "honeymoon weekend" and it was a great experience. The cabin we stayed at had all we needed for a rustic stay, and the grounds are large and beautiful, with many opportunities to watch beautiful horses and (a few) other animals. While we didn't get to meet Kelly, the owner, her staff were very helpful and accommodated our rather unusual plan of arriving from Boston by train to the nearest town, which is Durham, NH. We'd particularly recommend the place for those who enjoy horses.
