If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. Ciel provides such a unique and wonderful experience to her guests, and puts so much time and effort into making each visit feel extra special. I took my girlfriend here as a surprise, and the lodging was excellent. The fireplaces, cozy nooks, and delicious breakfast all made for a romantic and pleasant time here. Even though we were an hour away from our L.A. home, it really felt like we were in a secluded forest. I also opted for the private dining experience as an extra surprise, and I am SO glad I did. That dinner was definitely a once in a lifetime event! Ciel has such an attention to detail - the table was set up beautifully with flowers and candles, and the ambiance was perfect. And the food... AMAZING. Our 4 course meal was one of the best meals I've ever had, and Ciel was the perfect hostess. :) Again, I cannot recommend this place enough. You will not be disappointed!

Spent a long weekend with the wife and two kids in this rustic and cozy cabin. The cabin has no TV or clocks which we loved but still had WiFi in case we needed to check our email. The airtight fireplace keeps the cabin warm and doesn't make the place smell like smoke at all. But if you don't want to use the fireplace, there are space heaters in the walls that work well. We had fun using the mega tree swing. The place is fully stocked but if you need something there is a general store a 5-minute drive down the hill. You are in the woods but as with all the homes in this town, the cabin is a stone's throw from houses on both sides. The neighbors were quiet and all the porch lights are off in the evening so you still feel secluded. Be prepared for the high altitude of +6K feet. You will feel it when walking up the stairs to the loft. Drink a lot of water and know that your body will adjust over a couple days. Be careful about drinking alcohol at that altitude--you may wake up with the dreaded "mile high hangover." We definitely will be repeat customers at the cabin.

This cabin was BEAUTIFULLY designed! Absolutely gorgeous place to stay in. Very peaceful and quiet. The views were beautiful and the cabin is extremely cozy and open. Lots of natural light but you still have privacy. The only recommendations I have are updating the pots, pans and other items to cook with. I'm sure it's hard to buy nice pots/pans/bowls ect b/c people probably don't take care of them- but I love to cook and the pots were worn/old... Also, I was expecting the cabin to be secluded and it's not. You have neighbors right next to you and across the street. Other than that, absolutely awesome!!
