Digital Nomads: Working Remotely near Pescara
This was the perfect Glamping holiday! Tom has created a wonderful yurt in a beautiful setting, in the heart of the Abruzzo countryside. The yurt is located on a working Olive farm in a spacious, calm and earthy setting, with Tom, Charlie the dog, the cats, chickens, and rabbits all adding to the experience. Tom was extremely welcoming, offering many touches which made the holiday really special. The environment is perfect for lounging around the farm and enjoying the views, pool, hot-tub, archery, bikes etc, and there are also plenty of fantastic local natural treasures to explore (gorges, waterfalls, mountain paths, castles and beautiful villages). A wonderful family holiday in a quiet and rustic part of Italy.
We had an unforgettable week staying in the Yurt. The accommodation was beautiful and the attention to detail fantastic so that we had everything that we needed, coffee machine, glasses picnic hamper, mini fridge, picnic hamper, hairdryer, bath salts the list goes on and not to mention the lovely decor. Tom could not have been a better host, the breakfast hamper was an unexpected delight and anything we asked or needed Tom was able to get or point us in the direction of, nothing seemed like too much trouble. We enjoyed the pool and use of tennis net, there were bikes which we didn't get round to using and Tom set up archery for us, which was great fun. The Yurt is in a peaceful setting which offers spectacular views and is also well placed to visit the national parks and coasts. We went on some lovely walks, visited the top of a snowy mountain, found a bear in the Abruzzo park wildlife centre and ate delicious food. Tom was able to recommend outings, restaurants, where to find the supermarket and great take away pizza. At night with the lanterns lit it was the perfect setting for a glass of wine and a meal and we had some lovely Italian meats on the BBQ. We could not recommend this holiday destination, accommodation or host more highly.
We stayed at the yurt for two nights to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and the experience was unforgettable. The setting is so peaceful and tranquil. Owner Tom was friendly, kind and helpful and had literally thought of everything for the yurt and to make our stay comfortable. My husband and I felt so relaxed and rested after our stay. The bed is really comfortable with a memory foam mattress and feather pillows and the huge bath tub provides endless hot water for indulgent bubble baths. In order to get to the yurt we needed to rent a car with built in sat nav. This is essential because the yurt is in a rural setting however, it is not far from local amenities and villages where reasonably priced food and inexpensive wine and prosecco can be purchased. There lots of activities available however we chose to have a restful stay and spent most of our time at the yurt, eating, drinking and swimming in the pool. There was a festival on in a neighbouring village which we went to one evening. Here was stumbled across an open air opera concert which was unexpected and fantastic! We can not recommend this beautiful yurt and experience enough. We were only there for two nights as part of out holiday a d anniversary but it felt like much longer. Trully rested and rejuvenated! Would love to come back again in the future.
