Dog-Friendly Glamping Hires in Spain
Elizabeth Young: "My boyfriend and I came to stay for the weekend with our dog and we had the best time. The tent has everything you could need, from a full refridgerator, stove, and microwave, to hot water, WiFi, and even air conditioning. Amparo and her staff were very helpful, we even had dinner cooked and brought to the tent one night which was delicious. Overall, highly recommended!"
Chris Coles: "Chris and I absolutely LOVED staying here and can't recommend it enough. Barbara and James (the owners/hosts) are the absolute BEST! They couldn't do enough to help us. We felt so welcome and really part of their family. They came and joined us for dinner and breakfast (and of course a few sneaky drinks in the pool!) which was just lovely. We really enjoyed our chats with them and honestly felt like their adopted children for the duration of our stay. They were full of recommendations for things to do and see/places to eat. Unfortunately we got food poisoning one night (not from them- another hotel) and were sick as dogs. James and Barbara were amazing to us. They invited us into their home for cups of tea, baked beans on toast and sympathy. They were exactly what we needed when we were feeling so rotten. James even went out of his way to get the F1 on the telly for Chris- so he wouldn't miss it (how bless is that?). The teepees were beautiful. The interior /exterior design is a 'cowboys and Indians' inspired theme with beautiful furnishings and thoughtful details. As a couple it is so romantic to be inside the teepees at night - as they are all lit up with rice lights and netting over the double bed. If you're a family- then your kids won't be bored! There're games, sand pits and a pool to keep them amused. Each teepee is its own little private piece of paradise. It has it's own private dining area with amazing BBQ. Barbara and James give you all the cuterly and utensils that you will need and each teepee has its own shower block with fridge to store food and more importantly beer in. They do all the washing up for you as well!!!!! The surroundings of the teepees are stunning with views of Lake Negratin in the distance and mountains all around you. You can sit outside your teepee and watch the sun set around 9:00 (July) with a glass of G n T- perfect! They're are plenty of activities to do during the day- Barbara and James go through all your options when you arrive. Anything from kayaking to top notch Spa treatments are on offer. You will need a car to get around- these activities are not offered by the hosts on site. Breakfast is an added option at €6 pp (per day)and It is well worth it! Fresh juices, tea and coffees, fresh fruit, yogurts, cearals, toast, crossiants and they'll do you a cooked brekkie- eggs, beans etc. We had a great time (minus the food poisoning) and will definitely be coming back!!"
Mark Aspinall: "No-one to welcome us on arrival at this tellingly deserted site apart from a ferocious dog. We had the pleasure of sharing our hut with a variety of invertebrates including cockroaches, mosquitos and giant ants, all granted access through a poorly gaffa-taped front door. Having chosen not to swim in the abandoned, dirty pool, our activities were all off-site: Ubrique and Rhonda gorgeous. Avoid."Show More
