Kootenai National Forest straddles the border into Idaho, and is somewhere that attracts a large number of visitors year after year. This is partly down to the amazing natural scenery, but is also in part due to the abundance of outdoor activities that can be enjoyed in winter, right through to summer. There is also a range of glamping cabins with hot tubs here, which you can stay in for the duration of your camping trip, and which will add a touch of luxury to your trip. When you’re here, head to Snowshoe Peak to catch some stunning mountain views as you hike, and catch sight of local wildlife at Lost Trail National Wildlife Refuge. In winter, enjoy skiing at Turner Mountain.
