Sequoia National Park is located in California's Sierra Mountain Ranges, and directly adjacent to Kings Canyon National Park. The Sequoia National Park is most well known for its gigantic sequoia trees, with the most notable being the General Sherman Tree, which is the stand out species, quite literally, within the park. There are many areas for families to explore such as the Crystal Cave, which consists of streams and spectacular natural rock formations from centuries ago. For one of the best panoramic views of the park, it is recommended you take the hike up Moro Rock, boasting a granite dome which offers breathtaking views. For those driving through, the Tunnel Tree is a site to see, as the trunk is cut to the exact width of the road, and height so cars may pass. There are also many hiking trails and museums to explore, each offering a unique learning experience. Whatever is on the agenda for your visit to the Sequoia National Park, it is sure to be a fun and memorable experience for all!
