Fredericksburg is one of the most beautiful small cities in Texas. The region is known for its wild seed farms, authentic German food, peach orchards, vineyards, and wineries. Besides wine tasting, there are some attractions which provide active leisure time, especially for those who like climbing. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, located in 18 miles from the city, is a 425 feet high pink granite dome, which attracts visitors every year. The area is a famous camping and hiking place, with about eleven miles of trails around. Loop Trail is one of the most popular, it's almost five miles long path through green grassy fields, rocks and hills, where travelers may find plenty of scenic views, meet deer and squirrels.
