Places to Stop on Your Road Trip near Setúbal
Kate Houser: "These eco-pods we're absolutely PERFECT for our weekend getaway! They make for an awesome couples trip or family weekend away. There are three pods total on the property, all of which are included in your booking (for some reason I thought we maybe only got one of the pods for ourselves, but we got both! we will 100% be coming back with some friends so we can fully take advantage of both sleeping pods!). The bathroom was my favorite part, it's absolutely STUNNING inside, but also offers a huge window that opens up to the most beautiful mountain views AND with the solar panels, provides hot water!! The bathroom came with toilette paper, fresh towels, shampoo, soap, etc. It really was a dream and the hosts truly thought of EVERYTHING! The pods have everything you need to cook or grill a full meal, we made a grand slam breakfast and a yummy dinner. We were able to spend all day outside and then when it got dark, you can enjoy a nice firepit! There is also a tv and power outlets to charge your phone if you like, but we enjoyed being a little unplugged for the weekend :) This accommodation is on a massive piece of land that has a ton of atv/dirt-bike tracks. The hosts offer a service where you can book a Ca-Nam ride that will take you to an old abandoned mine. It was SO COOL and really rounded out the whole experience for us! We will 100% be back to these pods!! Thank you for an awesome experience!"
Laura Wilson: "Highly recommend. Feels very remote! Really pretty view of the snowy mountains in every direction from the bus. The caretaker was very nice. Be sure to take up their offer on the ride from the main road. Awesome getaway - feels like you couldn't be farther from the city. Dress warmly so that you can enjoy walking around the property."
Shelley Schaffer: "This safari tent is amazing!!! Every detail has been thought out. There's a bathroom with a shower, a kitchen complete with a mini oven/range and mini fridge. It has a BBQ and jacuzzi. The views at all times of the day are simply breathtaking, all the stars come out at night. The bed is more comfortable than many I've slept in at hotels. I did bring an extra blanket just to have the comfort of something from home and I was glad I did, it does get a little chilly at night, but the bed is also heated! We didn't know what to expect as we had never been glamping but our experience was simply amazing. My husband is a type A personality, he always needs to be doing or planning something, and even he was able to simply let go and really chill out. I highly recommend staying here. 1 tip is that the last bit of road to the tent is dirt and gravel and a little steep, you'll need a vehicle with some clearance. A car can easily do it but not a low slung car."Show More
