The northwestern region in the state of Montana is home to the Kootenai National Forest. The park offers views of the mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and forested landscapes. One of the top sites in the region is the Kootenai Falls and Swinging Bridge which allows views of the largest free flowing waterfall in the area and allows tourists to cross the long suspension bridge. Try day-hiking through the Ross Creek Cedars trail, a 100 acre scenic area with the tall cedar trees, meadows, and slow flowing creeks. Mountains in this region include The Whitefish Range, Purcell Mountains, and the Bitterroot Range. The Kootenai National Forest is a great place to relax in the nature and embrace the adventures in the great outdoors.
