The yurt was everything we dreamed of in a vacation! We had isolation, quiet, beauty, and hiking all within steps at the yurt. Our host, Jen, is personable and there to meet your needs. 2 days at the yurt is not enough though. You need a down day to recover from civilization, a day for kayaking or canoeing (provided by the hosts and waiting at Bang's Bay), a day of hiking, and a day of exploring Mattawa area. My son was delighted by the fox that hung around our camp on day 1; not threatening and likely just wondering when we would move on. We will be back! The experience was wonderful and must be repeated! Thank you, Jen! Terry & the kids

We had an absolutely amazing weekend staying in the yurt! We kayaked the river, walked the trails, visited the horse sanctuary and 10 month old Buffalos! We also cooked dinner on the campfire and played scrabble in front of the cosy wood stove once it got dark! The Gibson family were amazing hosts and truly inspirational with the effort and love they have put into making the Buffalo Farm a unique get away! We will definitely be back!!
