This unique vacation rental is located in Magaliesburg, South Africa, and can accommodate up to 10 guests. There are five stunning bedrooms and four full bathrooms. Sleeping options include a quirky glamping tent, for two, a converted barn, for four, and a rock cottage, which has space for another four guests. In total, there are three king-size beds, one queen-size bed, and two sofa beds to choose from. In each of the bright and modern bathrooms, guests will find a toilet, a sink, and a walk-in shower. In addition, there are further shower facilities outside, as well as an outdoor bath. Freshly-laundered linens and towels are provided by the host, along with complimentary toiletries.
In the living room, guests will find comfy sofa space, and an inviting fireplace provides a delightful focal point. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with a refrigerator, a freezer, an oven, a stove, a microwave, a coffeemaker, a toaster, and a dishwasher. The Cradle of Humankind, a huge network of caves, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and home to around 40% of the world's human ancestor fossils. Other exciting activities that are available include guided rock climbing tours, horseback riding experiences, hot air ballooning, and zip-lining, at the Magaliesburg Canopy Tour.
Nature lovers should definitely check out the Lion and Safari Park, 40 miles from the property. This 1500-acre wilderness reserve offers guests an incredible opportunity to get up close to many of South Africa’s most iconic animals, including lions, wild dogs, cheetahs, and giraffes. Fine dining and retail therapy are also on offer here, as there are two superb restaurants, and the 5 Dome Shopping Experience, one of South Africa’s premier shopping destinations. History buffs can get an insight into early gold mining close to the property, at the Blaauwbank Mines. Here, visitors will be able to take a guided tour of the old mine, learn about past methods of mining, and even do their own panning for gold.
