Sheltered by tall trees and nestled at the foot of forested hills, this pet-friendly cottage rental is based on a charming Spanish country estate in the region of Extremadura in western Spain. The cottage makes for an unforgettable rural getaway for two to the Spanish countryside where there is easy access to miles of hiking and biking trails, including the ancient route of the dolmens where numerous megalithic tombs can be seen.

The cottage showcases traditional stone and brickwork as well as an old water well in the garden adding to the allure of the property. The master bedroom comes with a queen-size bed, two bedside table with lamps, and a wardrobe, as well as large windows that look out towards the valley. The bathroom displays painted tiles with a vintage mirror, while featuring a walk-in shower, a toilet, and a hand basin. Towels and linens are kindly provided.

Guests will love hanging out in the spacious living area on the cozy sofas in front of a wood-burning fireplace, which comes with a pink chimney and black slate tiles. They can keep warm after a day hiking out in the hills and snuggle up to their favorite movie with a glass of local wine as the fire crackles away.

Outside, the vibrant garden can be enjoyed from the lovingly constructed patio where there is a table, chairs, and a wooden bench as well as an array of colorful plants. The communal swimming pool is just a short walk away and guests can sunbathe on the loungers poolside or take a dip in the refreshing water to cool off from the sun.

The cottages all have access to a large communal swimming pool where guests can cool off in the summer sun, and there is a large lawn with colorful plants and tall trees that provide plenty of shade. There is free on-site parking as well as free Wi-Fi, and each cottage comes with a barbecue grill, a patio with furniture, a fireplace, and air conditioning.
