Glampers can prepare themselves for plenty of wildlife viewing, particularly dolphin and whale watching activities, thanks to the Spinner, Bottlenose, and Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins, as well as the Sperm, Blue, and rare Dugong whales. There are also Olive Ridley turtles in the area, as well as a large number of native and migratory birds. In fact, this area of Sri Lanka has the highest dolphin sighting ratio of around 93%!
In addition, swimming, snorkeling, and diving are very popular activities here, and the best time to do any of them is from November to April. As previously mentioned, kite surfing is also a favorite pastime, and kite surfing aficionados come to the area in high numbers from May to August, when the conditions for this sport are most ideal.
