There are plenty of year-round activities in the Lake District, and this lodge is a great base to enjoy many of them, such as cycling, walking, canoeing, and sailing on Lake Windemere. At The Wordsworth House, guests can see the home of the famous poet, William Wordsworth, or they can visit Beatrix Potter´s hilltop house in the nearby village of Sawrey. From Fell Foot, guests can catch a small ferry across to Lakeside where there are steam trains and steam boat trips up the Lake. The Cartmel Races take place over the Bank holiday weekends in May and August. In the village of Cartmel, guests can choose from a wide range of dining options.
