This authentic gypsy caravan is located near Cartmel in Lake District, England, and is perfect for a unique romantic weekend getaway. This Lake District caravan rental is decorated with beautiful hand-painted woodwork. Inside, there is a double bed, plenty of seating, a cozy wood-burning stove, and candles. Firewood is provided. Guests have full use of a shower and a toilet. Linens and towels are provided.
An Aga-cooked breakfast is included and is served in a stone flagged dining room with a wood-burning stove. Breakfast includes porridge, pancakes, cereal, a full English breakfast, freshly baked bread, juice, English tea, and freshly ground coffee. Outside, there is a deck with two chairs, a fire pit, and benches. It is surrounded by an acre of garden and gorgeous panoramic views of the Lake District fells and the sea.
The main property lodge has heating and air conditioning, and an Aga-cooked breakfast served in a stone flagged dining room with its wood-burning stove. There is a breakfast of porridge, pancakes, cereal, a full English breakfast, freshly baked bread, juice, English tea, and freshly ground coffee included with the caravan. There are plenty of year-round activities in the Lake District, and this lodge is a great base to enjoy many of them, such as cycling, walking, canoeing, and sailing on Lake Windemere. At The Wordsworth House, guests can see the home of the famous poet, William Wordsworth, or they can visit Beatrix Potter´s hilltop house in the nearby village of Sawrey. From Fell Foot, guests can catch a small ferry across to Lakeside where there are steam trains and steam boat trips up the Lake. The Cartmel Races take place over the Bank holiday weekends in May and August. In the village of Cartmel, guests can choose from a wide range of dining options.
