This fully organic farm that doubles as a glamping site is 260 acres of beautiful land, home to the Cornshire Herd of pedigree Red Ruby Devon cattle which calve in the spring of each year giving traditional native beef to sell direct and to other markets. There is also a flock of Polled Dorset sheep which produce lamb in November for the Easter market, and a second flock of Lleyn sheep which produce lamb in March to April for the later part of the year. In May to June, they have their annual shearing time. In addition, they also have three rare breeds of native Dales ponies.

The farm is a short distance between the market town of Liskeard and the fishing town of Looe. It is part of the Duchy of Cornwall Duloe Estate. The property is located only 25 - 30 minutes from the Tamar Bridge, the border between Cornwall and Devon. Penbugle is situated between Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor. The southeast of Cornwall has many places of interest to visit on foot, bicycle, car, or on horseback. The village of Duloe has its very own Stone Circle - it is the smallest stone circle in Cornwall and goes back to the bronze age - nestled between the deep valleys containing the Looe and West Looe rivers.

Finally, the hosts keep 12,000 laying hens in small mobile free-range units producing organic free range eggs for a major supermarket and local businesses. They rear their own chickens from day-old chicks which means their hens' lives are as stress-free as they can make them as they are free to roam the range during daylight hours from the age of about eight weeks. The lovely organic eggs produce are available to buy during a stay at the property, along with other local produce.

As an organic farm, a lot of homeopathic medicines are used because antibiotics cannot be used as freely as conventional farmers, so their eggs and meat are `Free From'. This also means that if and when needed the animals react more positively to serious treatments.
