This family-friendly eco-pod is the perfect spot to enjoy a holiday near the North York Moors Park, while still being just a 30-minute drive from the stunning, historic city of York, England. Set on a peaceful glamping site, this rental gives glampers the chance to get off the grid for a total escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The rental features a twin-over-double bunk bed, and there is also a small twin bed that's suitable for children. This cozy accommodation is completely free of electricity, and has lanterns for T-lights, creating a truly rustic aesthetic for guests. As there's no electricity, there is also no kitchen facility, so guests will need to bring a camping stove to cook up those bacon sandwiches in the mornings.
In the evenings, guests can look forward to relaxing around the campfire, toasting marshmallows, and sharing stories as the stars come out overhead. There is plenty of space and a new heated log amenity building where the showers are as warm as the welcome. In keeping with the campfire theme, the water is heated by a wood-fired boiler and there is a heat recovery system to help the site stay as eco-friendly as possible.
There is a food preparation room, a modern heated toilet, and a shower block with privacy cubicles, free showers, and a disabled toilet and shower on site, while all electricity is supplied by Ecotricity who maintain that all electricity comes from renewable energy sources. Guests will also see that only solar-powered lights are used around the campsite.

Guests are invited to come and unwind at this relaxed and friendly campsite in the heart of North Yorkshire. The hosts offer guests tranquil camping and glamping that's in tune with nature. There are just 40 pitches in a six-acre field in the midst of a 110-acre farm that is surrounded by trees and a stream. Popular activities in the area include mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing in the local rivers and lakes, and walking. Get up close and learn about Alpacas! These delightful creatures are curious, friendly, incredibly endearing, easy to handle, and fun for the whole family. For some extreme fun there is an Airsports Club nearby, as well as go-karting and a winter sports ski slope and ice skating rink.

No pets allowed in the accommodation, except for one eco-pod which allows one dog. Guests should inquire with the hosts at the time of booking for more information.
The hosts recommend that guests bring slippers or something similar for inside the pods, as no outdoor shoes are allowed to be worn inside.
There is a refundable damage deposit of £30 for pod reservations and £50 for the hobbit house reservations which will be required and requested directly from the hosts. This will need to be paid prior to arrival. Guests will receive a separate invoice and link to pay this from the hosts. Read more
