Staying in a luxurious tent will help you relax to the fullest while also enjoying your stunning surroundings.

Skylark Tent: This tent is 19 feet in diameter and comfortably sleeps two in a double bed and two on the sofa bed, for a total of four. It is a canvas tent that is a mix between a safari and bell tent. It is very spacious and has a lovely ambiance. Try it out for yourself, and you’ll see exactly what we mean!

At this campsite, you’ll find a sturdy wooden clad bathroom/kitchen area. There is also one room with a shower, toilet and sink with running hot water 24 hours a day. Location + Surroundings

West Kellow Yurts is situated on the edge of a working organic farm in the beautiful Cornish fishing village of Polperro. It’s a place to enjoy peace and tranquility, and get off the grid and back to nature in the beautiful meadow with views from the moors to the sea. You can build fires, have a snooze in a hammock, wander down to the wildlife pond to watch the fish, birds, ducks and other wildlife in their natural surroundings, or take a trip out to one of the many local attractions or beaches.

Relax in your own hammock (each yurt has one)

Walk around the farm – there is a large wildlife pond and some spectacular views

Cook over an open fire with a Dutch oven, or even with the conventional BBQ or double gas grill

Gaze at the stars

There are many other activities including chess and Jenga, boules , viking chess (Kubb), rope quoits, football, welly wanging and swing ball (plus 9 acres of field for the children to ride their bikes in

Each yurt has its own seating area, but there is also a VERY LARGE communal table that could fit all your friends and family

Pick your own fruits and vegetables (seasonal) in the patch onsite, and plus there’s many a hedgerow for other seasonal berries

Use your yurt as a base from which to explore the surrounding area, and the site will provide you with a handy compiled booklet that details more than 60 local attractions and 20 places to dine locally

Don’t miss out on the picturesque village of Polperro with its narrow, winding streets and alleyways with cottages perched on steep slopes overlooking the harbour. Here you can sample the many restaurants and pubs, have an ice cream or go to the Polperro Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing. The pubs often host live music and performances during the summer months and the Polperro Festival takes place every June.

Additional Information

When you arrive to the site, you will be provided with a welcome pack with local cider, chickens eggs from the organic farm, bedding, wood (the first big basket of wood is free, and a help-yourself-supply with an honesty box is available for any more baskets that you need after that), a communal fridge freezer, pots, pans, cutlery and a host of other useful bits and bobs to make your stay comfortable.

All you really need to bring is your wellies, waterproofs, towels, a flashlight, food and drink (fresh spring water is freely available), and a sense of adventure!
