This charming property is set on a six-acre family farm with an on-site farm shop in the medieval town of Sandwich in Kent, southeast England. The lovely farm shop on the property supplies local and homegrown produce and plays an integral role in the local community. In medieval times, Sandwich was a principal Cinque Port in Kent and in all of the UK.

Prior to the River Stour becoming dammed, the river was vast and deep enough for great sailing ships which have become replaced today by smaller craft and residential ships. The picturesque ancient architecture of the buildings makes Sandwich one of the most impressively preserved historic towns of England.

With its ancient buildings, nature reserves, golf courses, delightful country pubs, cafés, and restaurants, the medieval Cinque Port of Sandwich is a must to visit for the discerning tourist. Sandwich is also surrounded by small picturesque villages, such as Eastry, Ash, Worth and Woodnesborough, and is within close reach of Canterbury and the Port of Dover.

Gatwick Airport is an hour and a half away from the property.

Guests will find themselves perfectly situated to enjoy the peace and quiet of a country farm retreat while visiting the area’s finest attractions. Dubbed the "garden of England," and boasting numerous farms, breweries, and fishing towns, it's not hard to see why Kent is a must-visit town offering some of the most exciting attractions across the country.

The property is conveniently located along a bus route with a stop at the driveway, with regular departures to Deal, Dover, Canterbury, and Ramsgate. There is also a train station about a 10-15 minute walk from the farm for those interested in venturing to other villages and towns in the region.

The property has several nearby hiking paths and cycling routes, a fantastic way to take in the beautiful landscapes of the pleasant countryside. Guests will love visiting the nearby Sandwich Bay and walk or cycle the ancient highway to Deal. Just 10 minutes away, guests can visit the Sandwich & Pegwell Bay National Nature Reserve, full of beautiful salt marshes, wildflowers, mudflats, and golden sea cliffs. The reserve is full of coastal walks, viewpoints, and spectacular rare birdwatching.

The ruins of Richborough Roman Fort, located just outside of town, are claimed to be where the Romans first set foot on British soil and was once home to an arch marking the official entrance to Britannia. Visitors can roam around the crumbling walls and grass ditches in this historical gem.

Other nearby highlights include Royal St George's golf course, Wingham Wildlife, Howletts Zoo, Dover Castle, Walmer Castle, and much more. The town of Sandwich offers restaurants, pubs, a co-op, a post office, a gas station, and more.
