Guests seeking a one-of-a-kind glamping getaway will adore these modern pods located on the peaceful grounds of a renowned 17th-century castle in Glenarm, Northern Ireland. These pods can accommodate two adults plus two children, with a double bed and a compact bunk bed with quality linens and towels provided. Each pod is beautifully decorated with an eye-catching entrance. Glampers will also have a private shower room, complete with heated towel rack, plus a toilet and a sink.

These compact pods also offer a mini-fridge, a kettle, plus utensils and plates. Guests will also find charging points, and Wi-Fi for electronics. The bed also tucks away into a cozy sofa for relaxing, curling up with a book, and enjoying a glass of wine during the day.

Outside, guests will have access to a fire pit, where they are encouraged to bring a disposable barbecue to grill up some tasty treats. The pods are perched on a hill-top site overlooking the estate, and visitors will have the entire property to explore including the castle’s walled garden, woodlands and grassy grounds, and should be sure to visit the on-site Byre Shop and Tea Room.

These glamping pods are complete with modern amenities including heating, electricity, and charging ports for phones and laptops, plus Wi-Fi to stay connected. Each pod has a private bathroom with a shower, heated towel rod, with fluffy towels and bed linens provided. There is wardrobe space and storage for suits. Guests can also start each day with a cup of coffee courtesy of the kettle and basic cooking utensils. Parking is available.

A full day can be spent driving along the Causeway Coastal Route, past notable photograph-worthy viewpoints. There are also plenty of trails suitable for exploration by bicycle or on foot across the beautiful Irish countryside. Glenarm Castle is open for tours where guests can see Irish furniture, as well as portraits of the McDonnell family from the early 17th Century through to the present day up close. Charming tea rooms and fudge factories are a must-visit for delicious local delicacies, while pubs, whiskey distilleries, and restaurants are also a perfect place for a pint or a bite to eat. Sandy beaches like Carnlough Beach are a good family-friendly destination with playgrounds and crystal clear water awaiting.
