Converted from the original croft cattle shed, this cosy secluded hut, known in Scotland as a 'bothy', can accommodate up to four people. Available is a double futon and a raised single bed. An extra mattress can be placed under the single bed for a fourth person. Included in the rental price is bedding, wood, gas, and electricity.

The shed is a one room building with a wood burning stove, a table and chairs, a full-size gas cooker with up-to-date gas safety certificate, a sink with cold running water, and everything needed for basic a self-catering accommodation.

As well as food and drink, visitors need to bring their own towels and flashlight. The host asks that outside shoes are removed when entering so a pair of slippers is advised as the floor in the kitchen area is not carpeted.

A compost toilet and running water at an outdoor sink are provided close to the camping area and yurt site. All visitors have use of an inside flushing toilet and shower just two minutes from the main house. On sunny days there is plenty of hot water as the hosts have installed a solar water heater on the south side of the roof.

Outside the shower room, there is an area with electrical sockets for the recharging of electrical devices. Wi-Fi is available both in the extension and in shared areas. The property sells free range eggs and seasonal organic vegetables, all of which are grown using sustainable and organic methods.

Activities on site include gardening courses in growing organic vegetables, from seed to plate. Guests must advise hosts what they would like to learn about growing vegetables, as well as the number of days they would like to attend, and they will try to accommodate any and all needs. Courses are led by Neil Robertson, an experienced horticulturist, and his wife Sue, who will be available to lead sessions in cooking and preserving vegetables. Each day will include a lunch prepared by them from vegetables available in the garden. Families will also have a game box and toys available for young children. Guests can enjoy walks along the surrounding property, where they'll come across herds of grazing goats, enjoy acres of natural beauty, and find the ideal place to enjoy a picnic.
