Yurt • 4 guests • Bathroom • Kitchen
This luxury yurt can accommodate four guests. It is a Bentwood yurt that comes from the regions of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and it was built upon a platform to give a nice, elevated view. Made from oak, the wood was steam-bent to create the domed shape of this yurt, and it is covered in a 12 oz. canvas fabric with a marquee lining. It also has wood flooring that comes from locally sourced larch trees.
In the middle of the yurt, there is cast-iron wood-burning stove, and it is surrounded by a double bed and two single beds. The beds sit on pine bed frames and come with comfortable mattresses, covers, and pillows. There is a chest filled with extra blankets, too.
In addition, there are shelves, a low table, a double burner calor gas stove, and sitting areas filled with soft lighting, sheepskins, rugs, and cushions. Outside of the yurt, there is a fire pit, wooden benches, and a picnic bench.
At this glamping property, there is a log cabin that serves as a shared kitchen space and features a full-size calor gas stove and oven; a cast-iron Victorian stove and oven; a low-energy power supply for charging cell phones and other small electronic devices; a sink; a dining room table; a variety of seating; and a library with books for all guests to read.
All necessary cookware is provided, however, there are no refrigerators, since the property is off-the-grid. The hosts do give all guests a cooler and replenish the ice packs daily. There is a fire pit where guests can also cook meals over an open flame, and a basket of firewood a day is provided. Additional firewood can be purchased for ÂŁ3 per basket. Barbecues are also available.
The bathroom facilities include two showers with hot water, a composting toilet, and a normal toilet. In addition, the hosts provide all guests with eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner, soap, and laundry supplies.

Cardigan Bay is only a short drive from the glamping site and gives guests access to beach and water activities—keep eyes peeled for dolphins, seals, and porpoises! Interested glampers can even do a boat trip from Newquay to get a closer look at the local sea animals. Aside from the bay, canoeing along the Teifi River through the Cilgerran Gorge is another fun way to see the area’s fauna, including otters and kingfishers.
Other activities in this part of Wales include horseback riding, fishing, go-karting, and visiting visiting an Iron Age settlement, the Oakwood Theme Park, the National Woollen Museum, or the Centre for Alternative Technology.
Guests also have the option of receiving a healing or massage treatment, either on-site or at the nearby Malindi Centre, for an additional fee. Please inquire with the hosts for more information and pricing.
