There are four of these secluded yurts in the mountains of Powys, Wales, which are ideal for an unforgettable glamping getaway. Meadow yurt is located in a beautiful meadow, with an accessible parking spot a short distance from the tent. Sunken into the forest it has the feel of a tree house and the comfort of a yurt and has a lovely sunken bath overlooking the forest.

The river yurt is set right on the river, offering best access for river walks and picnics. It is one of the most popular units for couples.

The ash valley yurt is set at the top end of the site, with beautiful views down over the whole site and valley, including from the bath! It is the most accessible rental and has a private parking spot and an easy walk up a slight slope.

The waterfall yurt, by a lovely waterfall, is often enjoyed by families; a little footpath leads to the bath and onwards for some beautiful views through the forest. Children can enjoy running in the meadow.

Inside all the yurts there is a beautiful hand-crafted wood-burning stove (with wood provided) and a double bed with warm bedding and plenty of cushions and sheepskin rugs. The yurts have a two ring gas stove for cooking, complete with pots, utensils, plates and cutlery, a clay cooking pot to keep milk cool, and tea/coffee/hot chocolate. The hosts provide tealights for the lanterns which light the yurt at night.

The private bathroom has an eco-loo, a shower, and outdoor wood-fired bath just for guests; and there is also a private seating and campfire area outside.

Up to two children are allowed, free of charge.

The yurts are set in their own private spaces with a private eco-loo, a shower, and an outdoor wood-fired bath. Guests are provided with wood and kindling to make a cozy fire during their stay. Bedding is also provided but guest should bring their own towels. Each living space also has outdoor seating and a campfire area.

On-site there is a riverside teahouse and conscious living center - the perfect spot to sip a herbal tea, browse the resources on all elements of eco-living, and engage with the owners and other guests.

Five minutes up the A487 guests will find King Arthur’s Labyrinth where their underground adventure begins deep inside the spectacular caverns of the Labyrinth and far into the past. On the same site, Corris Craft Centre offers a wide range of unique Celtic and contemporary craftwork, including jewelry, leather work, pottery, rustic furniture and turned wood. There is also a cafe and children’s play area on site. Just a short distance away guests can access the spectacular mountain Cadair Idris.

The local beaches are great for windsurfing and surfing. For a really thrilling experience, guests can try out Kitesurf Wales in Aberdyfi or AberAdventures in Aberystwyth, who also offer stand up paddle board hire in Borth.

If guests fancy a trip on a steam train through breathtaking scenery they will be spoiled for choice. Tal y Llyn railway passes the delightful Dolgoch Falls and there are excellent forest walks at Nant Gwernol. The Corris Railway also houses a small museum.
