This cabin getaway is situated in the stunning woodlands of Oakland, Garret County, in western Maryland and can accommodate ten guests. There are three fully furnished bedrooms and two bathrooms in this scenic cabin retreat. The first bedroom features a queen-size bed with a television, the second bedroom has a double bed with a television, and the third bedroom has a bunk bed with two twin-size beds and a television. There are two queen sleeper sofas to accommodate additional guests. Both bathrooms feature a toilet, a sink, and a shower. Bed linens, towels, and basic toiletries are provided.

The warm and welcoming living room is outfitted with a comfortable sofa, a lounge chair, a flat-screen television, a beautiful stone fireplace, and an impressive movie library. There is a nook with a bar and barstools that can be used for dining or as a workspace. There is an additional game room with a sofa, a pool table, a foosball table, and a ping pong table for hours of fun and home entertainment for the whole family.

The luxurious and newly renovated kitchen is a chef’s dream and comes fully equipped with all new appliances including a refrigerator, a dishwasher, an oven, a stove, a microwave, a toaster, a coffeemaker, a crockpot, a blender, a tea kettle, and all of the necessary cooking utensils and essentials to prepare tasty homemade meals for the entire group. The attached dining room has a large table seating four people.

Outside, guests will find a fantastic deck with patio furniture, a gas BBQ, a picnic table, a hot tub, a fire pit, and horseshoe pits.

Guests are invited to disconnect in nature at this relaxing home away from home situated on a huge lot surrounded by a beautiful evergreen forest and ideally setup for entertainment. Outside, guests will find an elevated front deck with patio chairs and breathtaking views.

Behind the house, nestled right beside the forest, is a patio dining table with an umbrella and seating, a modern gas BBQ grill, and a hot tub to melt into after a long day of thrilling adventures. There is a fire pit for nights of storytelling over s’mores roasting under star-filled skies. Glampers can huddle up on the benches that wrap around the fire pit to stay warm, accompanied by convenient night lighting so the outdoors can be enjoyed more comfortably.

Adults and children will love playing horseshoes in front of the house or gathering in the basement to play foosball and air hockey on a rainy day. The garage is equipped with a stereo and an iPod dock as well as outdoor speakers to project music while everyone is enjoying the outdoor spaces.

Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, free parking on site, air conditioning, heating, two queen sleeper sofas, a stone fireplace, a washer and dryer, a flat-screen TV with HDTV, a DVD player, and a well-stocked DVD library.

The minimum age for the guest who signs the license agreement and will be staying in the house is 24 years of age, for those with a valid military ID, the minimum age is 21.

Guest must supply a picture of their driver's license (usually email from smartphone) verifying age and name. This must match credit card used.

The host generally rents to family groups only. Fraternities, sororities, bachelor parties, unless previously approved by the host in advance, are prohibited from renting the cabin. If the hosts approve such a group, there is likely to be an extra security deposit and an inspection planned on day of guest departure with guests present. Once a joint inspection is completed then a return of the security deposit may be made if all is in order.

Holiday Weekends - price bump: While holiday weekends are a great time to escape to Deep Creek Lake, the host requires a 3-night minimum stay and, they reserve the right to waive these standards for last-minute reservations.

Pet Friendly: Should guests desire to bring a dog an additional $65 pet fee will be collected.

The area’s parks and forests include Deep Creek Lake State Park, Swallow Falls State Park & Muddy Creek Falls, Big Run State Park, Casselman River Bridge State Park, Garrett State Forest, Herrington Manor State Park, New Germany State Park, Potomac State Forest, and Savage River State Forest. In addition, some of the public waterways include the Potomac River, Youghiogheny River, Savage River & reservoir, Yough lake, Casselman river, Broadford Lake, and Jennings Randolph Lake.

Guests can visit Deep Creek State Park, less than 15 minutes away, for exciting days spent boating and fishing on the lake. The park fronts on a six-square-mile, man-made lake. Water sports of all kinds are accessible, and in the winter the park offers six miles of snowmobile trails. The park offers swimming, picnic, boat launching, hiking, and a variety of recreational opportunities in the resort area.

The spectacular nearby Swallow Falls State Park is a mountain park containing some of Maryland’s most breathtaking scenery. The Youghiogheny River flows along the park’s borders, passing through shaded rocky gorges and creating rippling rapids, great for white water rafting. Muddy Creek Falls is a spectacular sight, with a dramatically crashing 63-foot waterfall. Tall hemlocks dominate the silent woods, and the trails snaking through Swallow Falls guide hikers to some of the most stunning and rewarding scenery in Western Maryland.

The property is within close distance of WISP Resort, Maryland’s only four-season downhill ski resort. WISP is a skier’s and boarder’s playground with its over 170 acres and over 30 trails. With multiple terrain parks, freestylers can also get in on the action. Located along Deep Creek Lake, Wisp boasts 100 inches of natural snow annually with 90% snowmaking on its skier and rider accessible terrain. 34 trails span 172 acres to entertain skiers and riders on Wisp’s 700-foot vertical drop. Freestylers will find terrain parks for beginner through advanced on which to practice progressions.
