Bayport

Bayport is a large town on Long Island, which is a haven for city dwellers to come and enjoy the fresh, sea air away from the stresses of daily life. Not only this, but the proximity to New York and the range of beachside state parks in the area mean that many campers come here to enjoy the unbeatable atmosphere in the summer months. That isn’t to say it can’t be enjoyed all year round, as there are a number of activities that everyone can enjoy. The nearby Connetquot River State Park Reserve is somewhere you can see local wildlife as you go on coastline hikes, and just off the coast is Fire Island National Seashore. Here, you can go swimming in summer months, but you can also follow a number of hiking trails that boast seaside views.
