The past is truly alive in this region, so history buffs rejoice! Guests are to be sure to visit the Cape Vincent Historical Museum and learn the rich history of the village. They can learn more about maritime history and see North America's largest collection of antique boats as well as the military past with tours of sites from the War of 1812.

Definitely a great spot for boat and water enthusiasts—if guests bring along their own boats, there's a free boat tie-up at the village dock or at the State Department of Environmental Conservation Research Station. Boat tours to check out the islands and historical castles are available from Alexandria Bay or Gananoque, Ontario. For more fun on the water, guests can rent a kayak from nearby Clayton, go fishing, or go swimming.

Glampers looking to stay on land can hit the greens at Clayton Country Club or take the kids for miniature golf at River Golf Adventures. Maybe get in a quick tennis match, hike, or ride a bike.

Land, sea, or learning, there's something to please everyone.
