Cragsmoor

Cragsmoor is a picturesque hamlet which lies just south of the sprawling Catskill Mountains, and it is home to a gloriously green landscape that is punctuated throughout by lush trees. It is somewhere that many people come to explore the nearby mountains, but also to feel as if their whole camping trip is defined by the natural world. In fact, close by lies the Minnewaska State Park Preserve, where you can catch sight of local animals as you hike through the forested land. A small way further north is the start of the Catskills, where Sundown Wild Forest marks the entry into the mountain wilderness. Here, you can make your own way through the land, or you can follow the many hiking trails that lead you into the trees.
