An inviting library area serves as the living space and features a sofa, a coffee table, a work desk with a chair, and a cozy reading nook with shelves of books and a plush armchair. A crib and/or two single-size beds can also be arranged in the library should guests require additional sleeping space. The lodge includes a refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee station and is stocked with breakfast items such as coffee, juice, granola, yogurt, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and quiche. A hot farmstead breakfast may also be available in the farm's restaurant for an additional fee.

The property is a working farm providing guests with the unique opportunity to experience life as a farmer first-hand. Guests can participate in farm chores, book a private farm or cooking workshop, or simply stroll the farmland and country roads and observe its natural beauty and friendly animal residents.
At the nearby Hartwick College's Pine Lake Environmental Center, guests will find abundant wildlife, stunning nature trails, and lakes for swimming, fishing, and canoeing. Guests can explore the mountain landscape by hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and rock climbing. There numerous bodies of water provide excellent fishing, swimming, kayaking, and even water skiing. During colder months, the area is transformed into a winter wonderland. Guests can head to the Plattekill, Hunter and Belleayre Mountain ski areas for thrilling winter sports such as snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing.
When guests are ready for a break from the great outdoors they can visit one of the numerous neighboring towns, including Delhi, Oneonta, and Cooperstown. There, guests can browse local shops for souvenirs and antiques, indulge in regional cuisine at one of many restaurants and cafes, or brush up on the area's culture at museums such as the Farmers Museum or the Fenimore Art Museum. Beer lovers should be sure to stop by the popular Ommegang Brewery and numerous other local breweries and distilleries for tours and tastings. The famous Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown is a must for baseball fans.

A two-night minimum stay is required for weekends in July and August and on holiday weekends throughout the year.
There is a late arrival fee for guests arriving after 10 p.m.
