Highland

Highland is a hamlet that rests on the western banks of the Hudson River, and is a place that many people visit on camping holidays when they are looking for the tranquility of a water-based setting, whilst still being able to explore nearby mountains. In fact, the Catskills are not far from the hamlet, and can be reached in a short drive. Here, you can find a number of hiking trails that run over the mountain sides and boast amazing views. One of the best parts of the mountains to visit is Sundown Wild Forest, where you can follow tree-lined trails through a true wilderness. You could even follow paths along the river, or participate in a number of activities on its banks.
