The hip, eclectic town of Hudson, six miles from the property, has seen a dramatic increase in visitors due to its Brooklyn vibe, minus the busyness. Hudson is situated on the Hudson River and is one of many small towns that comprise the Hudson Valley in Upstate New York. Hudson is described as one of America's "unspoiled places" that offers scenic views of rivers, valleys, and mountains as well as a laid-back, simple approach to life. Boutique shopping, farm-to-table dining, and a creative arts scene are what characterize the main street of this charming town.
The capital city of New York State, Albany, is a 44-minute drive from Hudson and Bradley International Airport is the closest major airport.

Several state parks in the Hudson Valley area offer trails for hiking, rivers for kayaking, and nature reserves filled with an abundance of flora and fauna.
