This charming bed and breakfast accommodation is located in a woodland setting by the Ausable River in Jay, New York, and can accommodate two guests, making it perfect for a romantic getaway. The accommodation provides guests with one bedroom, one private bathroom, a kitchenette, a sitting area, a dining area, and a private entrance. In the bedroom, guests will find a full-size bed set on a hand-hewn birch frame, flanked by nightstands with matching lamps and an alarm clock. The sitting area is furnished with a full-size sofa bed, an antique trunk doubling as a coffee table, a chest of drawers, and French doors opening onto the lawn. The dining area seats two at a custom-built dining table set next to a window. The kitchenette comes with a stove, a toaster oven, a coffeemaker, and a mini-fridge with a freezer. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, a radio, a CD player, a music library, Bluetooth speakers, books, a hairdryer, and ironing equipment.

Outside, guests will find a lawn with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit.

Within the community of AuSable Acres, guests can take advantage of miles of trails for hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, as well as two tennis courts, and a small lake where they can go canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Guests who are interested in mountain climbing or ice-climbing can have these activities arranged through a New York State-licenced guide with whom the host can put them into contact. They can go hiking, rock climbing, canoeing, fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing at the McKenzie Mountain Wilderness. More opportunities for skiing and snowboarding can be enjoyed at Whiteface Mountain Ski Center.

For water-based activities, guests can visit Lake Placid, where they can go boating, wakeboarding, water skiing, wake surfing, and tubing, with watercraft rentals available from ADK Aquatics. For shopping and dining, guests can head to downtown Jay, where they will find a variety of options. They can also learn about the history of the area at the Adirondack Museum and visit Fort Ticonderoga.
