Milford

Milford is a town that rests between the two iconic mountain ranges of the Adirondacks and the Catskills, and is somewhere that welcomes a huge number of visitors year after year. This is partly due to the proximity it has to the surrounding mountains, but is also due to the peaceful atmosphere people can relax in. The nearby Burnt-Rossman Hills State Forest is a hub for hikers to come and explore the wilderness, and the Catskill Mountains to the south are famed for having glowing fall colors when the weather starts to cool. New Michigan State Forest has opportunities to hike through wetlands amid a hilly landscape, as well as amazing natural scenery for you to take in. You could even make your way up to the Adirondack Mountains.
