About this place

This magical treehouse (now heated in the winter) is tucked away in the Adirondack Mountains near Saranac Lake/Lake Placid, and is the ideal spot for a glamping getaway for two. Inside, guests will find a comfortable queen size log bed, made from unique wood from the property and beaver sticks from a nearby river. Glampers will enjoy getting back in touch with nature. Private bathroom facilities are located just a short walk from the tree house.
Out on the deck, glampers can escape into the pages of a novel from the collection of books or simply contemplate life while the surrounding nature provides a soothing soundtrack. Additionally, there is a cooking area where you can whip up a meal, and there is also a campfire, ideal for sharing stories while roasting s'mores. Bring your hiking boots, mountain bike, binoculars and adventurous spirit. The hosts recommend exploring the entire property.

The tree house is now insulated and heated in the winter, (coldest night someone has stayed has been 31 below zero!) We provide heaters and electric mattress pad so winter camping turns into winter glamping.

Pets, smoking, and parties are not permitted.

The tree house is not suitable for infants or children and requires glampers to ascend a spiral staircase.

In addition to a magical place to stay, your hosts, Sheila and Bob, will do everything within their power to help you have an amazing Adirondack experience.

Deep in the Adirondacks of New York State, Paul Smiths and the surrounding area offer a wealth of outdoor recreation for nature enthusiasts to reconnect with the great outdoors. Saranac Lake is close by and offers outdoor activities all year round. Here, glampers can hit the trails and hike to the summit of Baker Mountain or they can enjoy a scenic walk to Middle Saranac Lake beach, where they can swim. Adirondack State Park is about 30 miles away in St Regis Falls and offers incredible fall foliage, which is great for aspiring photographers, as well as hiking trails across peaks, and the pristine waters of Lake Placid. St. Regis Canoe Area boasts paddling routes while those that enjoy winter sports can head to Mt. Pisgah Recreation Center in Saranac Lake. Here, glampers will find multiple downhill skiing and snowboarding trails, snowshoeing trails, and a tubing hill.
