Rustic Dome with a Hot Tub and Sauna Perfect for Camping in Wilmington, NY

Dome in Wilmington, NY
2 guests • 1 bed
The Dome is at the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge in Wilmington, NY. The restroom door (the north entrance to the log cabin Refuge Welcome Center) is about 100 feet away from the Dome door. The Rest Room has a shower, sink, toilet and washer-dryer. There is an outside freshwater pedestal, right next to the Bear Cabin, inside the perimeter fence, about 30 feet northwest of the front door, and a propane grill in front of the Dome. All surfaces will be wiped with Clorox wipes, all sheets and towels will be laundered in hot water. The Dome features heat, a microwave, hot-cold water dispenser, a small fridge, WiFi and flat-screen TV. There are two robes hanging in the Dome, which you may use when accessing the hot tub or sauna. There is no running water in the Dome itself. To access the wood sauna, hot tub and kayaks, walk down the driveway, bear right towards Ausable Lodge, walk around the left side of the Lodge, and you’ll see the sauna on your left, as well as the hot tub up on the deck on your right. The Lake with the kayak rack is down the hill from there. A rare treat is the bald eagle's nest, directly across the Ausable River from where the dock and kayaks is located, so bring your binoculars and camera. The eagles just arrived back at the nest on Jan 31st. The restrooms, hot tub, wood sauna and kayaks are shared with the renters in the Bear Cabin. You may arrive at 1 PM, and depart by noon on departure day. Door will be left unlocked, with key left on table.
