Nestled in the heart of sublime wilderness with the Endless Mountains as the backdrop to this getaway and the Pocono Mountains in close proximity, visitors will embark on an outstanding glamping journey in the Scranton area. Lackawanna County is the perfect year-round destination with an array of activities to enjoy in any season. When the peaks are covered in snow and the days are cool, Montage Mountain and Elk Mountain beckon glampers to haul out their skis and boards and challenge themselves on the many scenic runs. Airboarding and tubing are popular activities as well. As spring approaches and the snow slowly melts away, the blossoming fauna invites hikers and bikers to explore the trails of Lackawanna Heritage Valley and the many county parks in the area.
During the warm months of summer, water lovers can take to one of the lakes or rivers by canoe and kayak and explore the incredible area. Lackawanna State Park offers an array of outdoor activities such as hiking and biking, horseback riding, and swimming as well as enjoying a picnic on the shores. Avid fishermen can cast a line in Lackawanna Lake, where they’ll hopefully take home trout, walleye, largemouth bass, or pickerel.
For a slower pace, glampers can simply enjoy ambling around the Scranton area, enjoy a jazz concert or two, peruse the shops and boutiques, or curb hunger at one of the lovely restaurants and bars in the area.
