Parents, siblings, and friends can visit Penn State University students in just 20 minutes from the property. Sports fans can head over to Beaver Stadium to watch Penn State Nittany Lions in action. The Bryce Jordan Center offers a range of sporting and musical events throughout the year for guests to enjoy.
Glampers can visit the Raptor Center, hike on one of the trails, or take a tour at Shavers Creek Environmental Center. The magnificent botanic gardens, in the Arboretum at Penn State, are a photographer’s dream. Art enthusiasts can view some of the exquisite works at Palmer Museum.
Thrill-seekers can take on some of the white-knuckle rides at DelGrosso’s Park, Lakemont Park, or Fun Unleashed, all reachable in 45 minutes.
In the winter, guests can take to the slopes at Tussey Mountain Ski Resort. For a more relaxed pace, glampers can have a round or two at Penn State Golf Course and Toftrees Golf Resort.
Tours are available at Brookmere Winery and Vineyard, Mount Nittany Vineyard and Winery, and Seven Mountains Wine Cellars.
The state parks throughout the area are perfect for hiking and wildlife watching. Guests can enjoy a picnic or a swim at Whipple Dam State Park. Greenwood Furnace State Park is ideal for hunting, fishing, and mountain biking. Glampers can walk or cycle the Mid State Trail, located in Rothrock State Forest. Bald Eagle State Park is only 45 minutes away and is great for fishing, swimming, and boating.
Guests can take part in fly fishing at Spruce Creek and Spring Creek. Visitors can also explore the caves at Indian Caverns, Lincoln Caverns, and Penn’s Cave and Wildlife Park.
There is a range of restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops in Warriors Mark. Guests can go sightseeing and shopping further afield in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh.
Those who would rather stay close to the retreat can take a long walk around the 43-acre woodland, or sunbathe on the lawn. Guests can also look out for some of the gorgeous wildlife throughout the grounds.
