From this property's location, guests can fill their days hiking, fishing, biking, and so much more. Fishing along the river is always a popular activity for the anglers in the group. Guests might hope to catch large and smallmouth bass, striped bass, perch, walleye, catfish and more. If some staying at the property don't like to fish, while some are trying to catch lunch, others can rent kayaks or canoes and paddle down the river or take a dip in the water to cool down on a hot summer's day. In the afternoon, guests can stretch their legs and go for a hike, with miles of trails to choose from. The New River Trail runs along the river for 39 miles along an old railroad line and is a great place to go for a hike. The New River Trail State Park's Foster Falls area also offers guided horseback trips, canoe and bike rentals, boat launches. To the north, the Radford Mountain Bike Park has 100 acres overlooking the Claytor Lake Dam, where guests can hike, bird watch, and best of all, bike. The park has 12 trails each around 10-miles long specifically designated for mountain biking.
