At the marina, guests can rent kayaks, motorboats, sailboats, and fishing or crabbing equipment, which they can take onto the bay for hours at a time. At the rental, glampers can grill out in front of the retreat or relax in the hammocks at the marina. Every summer, the marina also hosts fishing tournaments and live music events, which guests can attend with their families and friends after exploring the waterway.

Guests can also venture toward Reedville on a boat or Heathsville by car to try out one of the many dock bars or waterfront restaurants, renowned for their fresh oysters and blue crab dishes. On Smith Island, which is only accessible by ferry, glampers can take a tour of the heritage site, which is run by historical reenactors who walk visitors through the world of 17th-century English colonial settlers. Guests can also visit Fort McHenry from the War of 1812 or any of the scenic lookout points around Northern Neck for panoramic views of the breathtaking bay.
