Guests should note that the dome does not have running water. The bathroom features a dry-flush toilet and a shower with a portable water system for eight-minute hot showers. It is important to note that the dome is still a camping experience and destination. The dome is called the Suburban Dome because even though it is situated in the field of the 11.5 acre property, guests are still surrounded by a residential neighborhood and the host's personal home is at the top of the hill. The host requests that guests please view the aerial shots to get a feel of the surroundings.
The dome has a portable air conditioning / Heating space unit. Guests should keep in mind that this is not near as powerful as a traditional home HVAC system or mini-split system. The dome is a canvas tent with thin insulation and is still prone to getting cold and hot. The host would like to emphasize that this is still a camping experience. For cold temperatures guests can use the heating option as well as a propane heater, infrared heater, and electric blanket. For hot temperatures guests can use the air conditioning option as well as the ceiling fan.
