This secluded forest retreat sits on Claytor Lake in Virginia, awaiting guests for a glamping getaway. With a few details that make the cabin rental special, guests will return year after year. Down a flight of stairs to the lake, guests will find a private dock and boat slip. It's perfect for sunbathing, cannon balls, fishing, and more and is a great place to spend the day with the family. If guests follow the stairs back up, they lead to the screened porch attached to the back of the cabin. Guests in the past have loved dining al fresco here, unbothered by bugs, and enjoying the views of the water. Inside, the kitchen and living area form an open space, with vaulted ceilings and exposed wood beams. The living area has a TV for guests to have a family movie night. Moving into the kitchen, if guests don't feel like eating out, they have everything they need here—including a dishwasher for easy cleanup. At the end of the day, guests retire to the two bedrooms, where they will find plush mattresses for a great night's sleep before the next day's adventure.

Guests staying here have direct lake access from the back of the house, down the stairs to the private dock and boat slip. This property not only has a dock, but also a screened in porch, so no matter what guests' preference may be, they can spend time in the fresh air here. Inside, the property has heating and air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, and of course, linens and towels are provided for guests.

From this property's location, guests can fill their days hiking, fishing, biking, and so much more. Fishing along the river is always a popular activity for the anglers in the group. Guests might hope to catch large and smallmouth bass, striped bass, perch, walleye, catfish and more. If some staying at the property don't like to fish, while some are trying to catch lunch, others can rent kayaks or canoes and paddle down the river or take a dip in the water to cool down on a hot summer's day. In the afternoon, guests can stretch their legs and go for a hike, with miles of trails to choose from. The New River Trail runs along the river for 39 miles along an old railroad line and is a great place to go for a hike. The New River Trail State Park's Foster Falls area also offers guided horseback trips, canoe and bike rentals, boat launches. To the north, the Radford Mountain Bike Park has 100 acres overlooking the Claytor Lake Dam, where guests can hike, bird watch, and best of all, bike. The park has 12 trails each around 10-miles long specifically designated for mountain biking.
