About this place

The campsite is tucked into a private forest with views of the Rappahannock River's beautiful floodplain. The river is about 300 feet from your tent site. It is also a Stargazers paradise! The property is home to herds of whitetail deer, wild turkeys, bull frogs, box turtles, visiting Canada Geese, Wood Ducks, Great Blue Herons and Red-tailed Hawks, eagles, chickens, cranes, and 3 rescue dogs.

You may hike in the woods, forage for wild berries, stargaze in the meadow, swim, fish, tube, canoe, kayak, and fall asleep to the river forest sounds. Minutes away, is the small town of Remington. Corner Deli is a must for breakfast! Craft and Crust is great for hanging out with good local food while sipping on your favorite beverage for lunch or dinner. It is 15 minutes to the Town of Culpeper, 20 minutes to Warrenton. For the history buffs: You will also be staying on part of the Rappahannock Station Battlefield where union soldiers may have camped, the property is along the historic civil biking trail.

Your campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, and 2 Adirondack chairs.

Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet. This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean. Every campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

What you should bring:
-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling
-Bedding and pillows
Firewood

If a host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, the host reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Other Things to Note:
Be safe in the river and please let us know if you need anything to make your stay more enjoyable. Firearms are not permitted on the property. Neighbors farm and hunt so please respect property lines. There is also a seasonal rodeo nearby that may add some extra country sounds to your visit. The property is 50 acres so you should definitely be able to escape! There is a cellphone tower across the street so coverage is typically great for everyone that needs it.

Take garbage bag(s) to the designated trash point (check with your Campkeeper).
Clean up after your dog.
