Historic Winchester in the Shenandoah Valley is about 30 minutes away and the charming town of Capon Bridge less than 10 minutes away with several restaurants and a riverside cafe, a butcher shop and farmer's market, Dollar Stores, and a 24/7 gas station/convenience and hardware store.

This property is an outdoor playground, guests can hike, swim, canoe, kayak, fish, and play volleyball within steps of their front door. For those interested in detoxifying, the wood-fired, lakefront sauna provides a cleansing oasis, and then relax with a massage or foot soak. The hosts have provided a library of indoor and outdoor games to enjoy on the expansive lawns or in the lakehouse lounge, the pavilion, or the dining hall. At night, it is common to see the community congregating around a bonfire.
There is a wonderful selection of charming towns, adventure outfitters, and parks nearby. Every Friday and Saturday night, glampers can head into central Capon Bridge to enjoy a delicious meal and some live music at The River House Cafe. Nearby Capacon State Park offers a white sandy beach, a lake, hiking, and picnic areas. Kayaks and paddleboards are available to rent for a reasonable price. Glampers will find spas, hot springs, shops, art galleries, and a variety of restaurants in Berkeley Springs. Wardensville has a lovely Main Street with shops, cafes, and a farmer's market to explore.
