Description of Glamping Units
This cozy cabin rental across from Lake of Egypt in southern Illinois has been renovated to luxury standards and is beautifully furnished to accommodate up to six guests. The cabin boasts two lofts with a queen-size bed and two twin beds. There is also a queen-size futon for the guests who prefer not to climb the ladder to the loft's twin beds. The rustic bathroom has a bucket-turned-washbasin and a clawfoot tub for relaxing in after a long day of kayaking or hiking. All linens and towels are kindly provided by the hosts.
Glampers will feel right at home in the cozy open plan living and dining area with a fully-equipped kitchen containing all the necessities for preparing delicious meals including a microwave, a stove, an oven, a refrigerator, a coffeemaker, and pantry essentials. There is also a dining table, a gas fireplace, and a TV, meaning guests can relax after a day of adventures.
Outside, the deck is furnished with lovely patio furniture and a gas grill. There is also a fire pit with log seating for when guests want to enjoy some tasty s'mores while surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature.
Included in the rental is a private boat dock on the lake, a kayak, a canoe, and a paddleboat for guests to use, and there are also fishing poles in the cabin with a small tackle box. There are canoes and kayaks at the dock and guests are welcome to take them out for a fun or romantic cruise around the lake. The heart of southern Illinois boasts plenty for the outdoor glamper and bustles with antique shopping trails in the historic districts, restaurants with local cuisine and southern charm, and of course the famous Shawnee National Forest.
