This cozy cabin rental, across from Lake of Egypt, in southern Illinois has been renovated to luxury standards and is beautifully furnished to accommodate up to six guests. The cabin boasts two lofts with a queen-size bed and two twin beds. There is also a queen-size sofa bed for the guests who prefer not to climb the ladder to the loft's twin beds. The rustic bathroom has a bucket-turned-washbasin and a claw-foot tub for guests to relax in after a long day of kayaking or hiking. All linens and towels are kindly provided by the hosts.
Glampers will feel right at home in the cozy open plan living and dining area with the Lake of Egypt rental's fully-equipped kitchen containing all the necessities for preparing delicious meals including a microwave, a stove, an oven, a refrigerator, a coffeemaker, and pantry essentials. There is also a dining table, a gas fireplace, and a Smart TV, meaning guests can relax after a day of adventures.
Outside, the deck is furnished with lovely patio furniture and a gas grill. There is also a fire pit with seating for when guests want to enjoy some tasty s'mores while surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature.
Included in the rental is a private boat dock on the lake, a stargazing deck on the point, a kayak, a canoe, and a paddleboat for guests to use. There are also fishing poles in the cabin with a small tackle box. Additionally, the property has 2 mountain bikes available for use. The cabin has amazing views of the sky and easy access to the lake in the heart of Shawnee National Forest where guests will feel calm and immersed in the serene natural surroundings.
This glamping retreat boasts luxury amenities with a rustic edge. The bathroom features a fishing bucket turned washbasin as well as a canoe-shaped shelf. The cabin proves guests with the comforts of home including free Wi-Fi access, a DVD library, cable TV, and a gas fireplace to snuggle up to. Linens and towels are provided along with a fully-equipped kitchen and pantry essentials.
The outdoor deck boasts a gas grill and a dining area, while the firepit with log seating makes a great place to relax come nightfall while toasting s'mores and admiring the dancing stars in the clear night's sky.
Guests will even have two mountain bikes provided so they can explore the area.

The Lake of Egypt located directly across from the glamping retreat is fully stocked and makes for a fun fishing experience with the family. There are canoes and kayaks at the dock and guests are welcome to take them out for a fun or romantic cruise around the lake. The heart of southern Illinois boasts plenty for the outdoor glamper and bustles with antique shopping trails in the historic districts, restaurants with local cuisine and southern charm, and of course the famous Shawnee National Forest.
Glampers can tantalize their pallets with a Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, or enjoy a day of hiking with the Giant City State Park hiking trails. Art lovers can get lost in the mini artist colony of Makanda or behold the natural beauty of Pomona Natural Bridge, a natural sandstone formation that runs along a ravine.
