Outside, guests can watch the world go by on the front porch and catch a colorful midwestern sunset. The campfire area provides the perfect atmosphere for connecting with loved ones under the stars and maybe having some drinks and marshmallows.

The kitchen is stocked for a full country breakfast with bacon from the local meat locker, farm fresh eggs, fresh bread baked by the local Mennonite family, real butter and jellies, coffee, tea, and bottled water. The rental has Wi-Fi and DirecTV in both bedrooms and the living room.
Outside, guests can enjoy sitting on the front step or around the campfire in a separate area that has plenty of chairs and tables.

The rental's large yard is full of flower gardens, bird feeders, and mature trees.
Nearby, there are parks and wildlife refuges such as the Mississippi Palisades State Park and Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge. It is just a five-minute drive to downtown Savanna and guests can also visit the nearby historic city of Mt. Carroll, just six miles to the east.
Located at the end of a gravel road, the cottage is less than half a mile to Highways 52 and 64. Guests can also spend the day at historic Galena, Illinois, which is only a short 35-mile drive from the property and close to many of the area's local wineries.
