Set on a secluded, two-acre woodland property with 200 feet of frontage on Lake Michigan, this pet-friendly cottage is located on Beaver Island, Michigan, and can accommodate seven guests for a private lakeside getaway. The cottage has two bedrooms, one sleeping loft, one full bathroom, and one half bathroom.
The first bedroom features a king-size bed and an armchair surrounded by an array of wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors that provide plenty of natural light and a sense of connection to the surrounding woodlands. The second bedroom is furnished with a full-size bed, while the loft contains another king-size bed and a twin futon, which are set beneath a wood-paneled, slanting roof with skylights and accessed by a spiral staircase.
In the full bathroom, guests will find a sink, a toilet, and a combination bathtub/shower. Comforters, blankets, and pillows are provided. Guests are asked to bring their own sheets and towels.
In the living room, guests will find an elegant leather sofa, a matching loveseat, and an armchair arranged around a cozy wood-burning stove and another array of wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows that partially wrap around to the other two walls surrounding it and provide views of Lake Michigan. There is also a television room with a flat-screen television and a DVD player.
The dining area seats four guests beside a series of stain-glass windows. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with an oven, a stove, a microwave, a toaster, a refrigerator, and a coffeemaker. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer, and a collection of books, games, and DVDs. Outside, guests will find a deck with lounge chairs, an outdoor dining table, and a gas barbecue grill.
