Description of Glamping Units
This rustic custom built family cabin is located in the Manistee National Forest in Manistee, Michigan and can accommodate eight guests. There are three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and one half bathroom. The first bedroom is furnished with custom-made Amish furniture and has a king size bed, a large television with satellite cable and a DVD player, access to its own master bathroom and is located on the second floor. The second bedroom also has a king size bed and a large television. The third bedroom has two twin size beds. The first full bathroom is located within the master bedroom. Here, guests will find a toilet, a sink, a shower, and a luxurious whirlpool bathtub. The second bathroom is on the first floor and has a toilet, a sink, and a shower. In the half bathroom, guests will find a toilet and a sink. Linens and towels are provided.
There is a cozy sunroom with a desk and a sofa which can be pulled out into a full-size bed. In the living room, guests will find a sofa, two armchairs, a large television with satellite cable and a DVD player built into the stone face of the gorgeous custom fireplace. Off of the living room, there is a dining area which has a large table and a breakfast bar with stools. The spacious fully equipped custom designed kitchen comes with a large refrigerator, an oven, a stove, a toaster, a coffee maker, a garbage disposal, and a microwave. Other amenities include air conditioning and heating, a washer and dryer, an iron and ironing board, a telephone, Wi-Fi, satellite television, a fax, a scanner, a copier, and a hairdryer.
Outside, guests will find thousands of acres of undisturbed land and access to the Manistee National Forest. On the charming front porch, there is a porch swing and rocking chairs where guests can enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the breathtaking views. It is surrounded by thousands of acres of undisturbed forest and is the only home built on the land; this provides guests with the perfect secluded getaway. Guests will find world-class salmon, steelhead, and brown trout fishing only 15 minutes away on the Manistee River at the Tippy Dam. One of the Top 10 rated golf courses in the country, Arcadia Bluffs, is located 25 minutes away. Within 45 minutes, guests can visit the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park.
The historic, port city of Manistee is located 20 minutes away and is the perfect place for guests to spend the day on the river, lay out on the beach or spend a night out on the town. The beaches of Lake Michigan and big water charter fishing can be found 20 minutes from the property. The Big "M" Trail is a 37.9-mile loop trail system for mountain biking, skiing, horseback riding, and hiking and is located 15 minutes away. The property is surrounded by thousands of acres of National Forest making it the perfect place for guests to hike and explore. There is a multitude of exciting activities in the surrounding areas which can be enjoyed all year long. The charming city of Manistee offers a variety of activities such as walking along the river, a day at the beach, fine dining, visiting the historic North Pierhead Lighthouse, and wine tasting at the Douglas Valley Winery. For a fun night out, guests can visit the Little River Casino which is also located in Manistee. Guests can spend the day sunbathing, swimming, and exploring at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park which offers sandy beaches, bluffs that tower over Lake Michigan, beautiful forests, and crystal clear inland lakes. The Tippy Dam is the perfect place to fish for salmon, steelhead, and brown trout on the Manistee River. Big water charter fishing can be arranged on Lake Michigan with Michigan Sport Fishing Company.
All winter sports can be enjoyed at either Crystal Mountain Ski Resort or Caberfae Peaks Ski Resort. The Big "M" Trail is a loop trail system that offers a 25-mile mountain biking and hiking trail, and an 18-mile cross-country skiing trail. The Marzinski Horseback Riding Trail also cross the Big "M" trail for guests who enjoy riding. Golfers can show off their skills at Arcadia Bluffs, one of the top ten golf courses in the country.
