Guests will find that this luxury vacation rental provides the perfect escape for large groups and/or families looking for the best of both worlds in a vacation. Just 15 minutes from Downtown Grand Rapids in Kent County, Michigan, this gorgeous cottage allows guests to venture into the city and welcome all it has to offer, or hang back and relax at the saltwater pool or soak in the spacious eight-person hot tub. Home to five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half-bathroom, the cottage can comfortably accommodate 27 guests.
Luxury infiltrates every square inch of the beautiful getaway, from the sprawling three-acre private property with trails through the surrounding woods, to the idyllic patio, to each thoughtfully decorated room. Each guest is bound to discover a little piece of paradise during their stay at the cottage.
The cottage boasts three levels of bedrooms and living areas for guests to enjoy. On the first level, a master bedroom hosts a king-size bed and plenty of room for storage, along with an en-suite that features a toilet, a sink, and a soaking tub, along with a separate walk-in shower. The second bedroom found on the first level of the cottage boasts bright walls and one set of bunk beds with a twin-size resting atop a full-size.
In the open-concept living area, guests will find a plush couch and a matching love seat, a beautiful brick fireplace to keep the cottage cozy, and a chess set on the coffee table for relaxing evenings in front of the fire. The fully-equipped kitchen can accommodate many guests at once and overlooks the primary living area. In the kitchen, guests will find a granite island for easy meal prep and casual dining at the high bar stools surrounding it. Guests are encouraged to utilize the appliances in the kitchen, such as the oven, toaster oven, refrigerator, and microwave, along with the stove top, dishwasher, coffeemaker, and cookware. Basic pantry items can be found in the cabinets for guests to use as they please. The cottage also comes with dining ware for over twenty guests. The spacious countertops provide ideal surfaces for preparing great food to be whipped up in large batches and served any of the three spacious dining tables in the cottage. The closest dining room table to the kitchen easily connects the main living area with activity happening in the cooking space and can seat eight guests. An additional dining room with a glass-top table allows guests to enjoy a more formal dining experience, should they desire. A highchair and a ‘Pack ‘N’ Play’ are both provided for guests visiting with small children.
Just off the main living area, glampers will also discover a beautiful deck with outdoor seating, Bluetooth speakers, and a great view of the pool deck. The half-bathroom is located on the main level and hosts heated floors, a toilet, and a sink.
For a perfect excuse to curl up on the leather sectional reclining couch and catch up on their favorite programs, guests should make their way into the media room found on the main level of the cottage. The 65” flat-screen television in the room comes fully-equipped with Xfinity Cable, Netflix, and a Blu-Ray/DVD player, so movie nights become a fun possibility.
Guests looking for a more private living situation during their stay at the cottage will be delighted to discover the guest suite on the third level of the cottage. In the bright and spacious lofted room, glampers are invited to utilize the two comfortable chairs and a large television, along with a darling window seat for reading with natural light. A king-size bed in the suite provides a comfortable escape for guests to rest after spending hours in the sun. In the connected private bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a sink, and a shower/bathtub combination.
The lower level of the cottage provides glampers with even more areas to lounge in after drying off from the pool and hot tub. A mudroom with its own entrance to the lower level helps manage the mess of the outdoors, while heated floors throughout keep guests comfortable as the temperatures change from outdoors to indoors.
While exploring the lower level of the cottage, guests will discover an additional living area, complete with three couches, a 55″ TV, DVD/Blu-ray player & Nintendo Wii, a game/fitness area with a workout space, weights, recumbent bike, a bench, board games and cards, a full Jack and Jill bathroom with a toilet, twin sinks, and a shower/bathtub combination, and a kitchenette. The first bedroom on the lower level features a queen-size bed and additional space for a child’s bed, and the second bedroom on the lower level plays hosts to a queen-size bed and a twin-size trundle bed. The cottage contains two washers and two dryers, so all guests laundry needs can be attended to during their stay.
Although it may be difficult to venture out of the beautiful and inviting interior of the cabin, guests are most likely to enjoy the outside even more. A large deck hosts a saltwater pool, a brand new eight-person hot tub, three tables, four umbrellas, dozens of chairs, several lounge chairs, and pool toys, all for guests to use freely. Along with patio furniture to relax in, the fenced-in patio also a hammock for afternoon naps, and a fire pit and gas grill for burgers at lunchtime and s’mores for dessert.
