This tranquil and pet-friendly cabin rental is located near Grand Mere State Park, Michigan, and can accommodate five guests for a revitalizing getaway in the woodland setting of the coast of Lake Michigan. There is one bedroom with a queen-size bed, an open sleeping loft with three twin beds, and one bathroom with a toilet, a shower, and a sink. Linens are towels are kindly provided.
In the open plan living and dining area, guests will find a sofa and a four-person dining table surrounded by rustic decor, handmade lighting fixtures, and wood surfaces on the floor, walls, and ceiling, giving an authentic cabin feel that relaxes and invigorates. The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, a mini-fridge, a coffeemaker, a toaster, and a sink. Other amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, heating, air conditioning, and ceiling fans.
Outside, guests will find a covered front porch and a charcoal barbecue grill, perfect for grilling those freshly caught fish, which can be enjoyed around the picnic table. Once guests have finished eating and the sun is beginning to set, they can light up the fire pit to ward away the cold, and while away the hours swapping stories and roasting s'mores.
Inside the cabin, guests will enjoy amenities such as high-speed Wi-Fi, heating, air conditioning, ceiling fans, a kitchenette, and a full bathroom with a shower. With Warren Dunes State Park just a mile to the north of the cabin, Grand Mere State Park just a 12-minute drive away, and a number of beaches along the coast of Lake Michigan nearby, guests will be well-positioned to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. For swimming, guests can visit the beaches of the two state parks, as well as Weko Beach, Silver Beach, and Union Pier Beach.
At Warren Dunes State Park, guests can also go stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking in Lake Michigan, with rentals available right at the park. With its tall dunes and favorable wind conditions, the park is also a popular site for hang gliding. The park is also well-suited for guests bringing canine companions, as one of its beaches is dog-friendly. Guests interested in hiking will find six miles of trails at Warren Dunes State Park. There are also trails for hiking and cross-country skiing at Grand Mere State Park, which has a dog-friendly beach as well.
For wine, beer, and spirit tasting, guests can visit the many wineries, breweries, and distilleries in Baroda, Buchannan, Bridgman, and Berrien Springs. At the latter, guests can also go fishing at the appropriately named Fisherman's Haven and stargaze at the Robert and Lillis Kingman Observatory. For golfing, guests can hit the links at the Pebblewood Country Club, which is open to the public.
