Located in Union Pier between the shore of Lake Michigan and Galien River, this stylish family cottage rental sits on 28 acres of private land and is just one mile from sandy beaches making it a superb getaway for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The cottage offers guests the chance to unwind in the fresh coastal air while in a peaceful and secluded setting surrounded by lush countryside.
The family-friendly cottage has a quintessential storybook appearance but boasts a stylish, modern interior that is bright and spacious and full of color. It can accommodate 11 guests in total with four bedrooms including a master bedroom that features a king-size bed, one room comes with a queen-size and a twin, a third comes with a queen-size bed, and the fourth bedroom has a set of bunk beds and two twins. All the beds come with high-quality linens and a comfortable layout with carpeted flooring and large windows that provide plenty of natural light.
Fresh towels and toiletries are provided in the two and a half bathrooms that include toilets, hand basins, a powder room, and two walk-in showers while there is a laundry room for extra convenience that comes with a washing machine and a clothes dryer.
After a day’s sunbathing at Lake Michigan, guests will love the welcoming ambiance of the living room with its gas fireplace and stone hearth at its center and cozy seating huddled around it. Guests can enjoy family nights in front of the flat-screen television that comes complete with a Blu-Ray DVD player and cable or have some friendly competition with a board game on the coffee table.
The oak cabinets in the kitchen bring a rustic charm to the cottage although guests have access to modern appliances including an oven, a stove, a microwave, a coffeemaker, and an array of cooking utensils that are ideal for preparing large family meals. The elegant dining area seats six guests beside a large window with forest and river views or guests can choose to have their meal outside on the screen porch for a memorable end to the evening.
While staying at the cottage, guests will have access to free Wi-Fi, a washing machine and a clothes dryer should they wish to do laundry, and cable television that comes complete with a Blu-Ray DVD player. Guests can warm up in front of a gas fireplace in the living room while outside, the fire pit is a great place to gather the family and toast smores together. The hosts have also provided canoes and mountain bikes so guests can explore the natural beauty of Union Pier.
